Getting Involved

Resource Solutions started about two years ago playing with SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics). Since then our main person, Chris Peto, has done many things with it from playing to full involvement. We are dedicated to staying on top of this great technology. Chris has been very active in Yahoo's SVG Developer's Group and has joined SPARK to see how we can create a programming environment that is reusable. Chris's latest demo can be viewed here.

SVG Basics

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is the latest hit on web sites. It allows a non-propietary approach from the W3C to a rich graphic environmemt that was lacking in the web. SVG is accesable through Javascript/Ecmascript over the DOM. It has a full pallete of animation, and drawing control.

Widgets

Widgets are all those great little controls that we see and use everywhere. From Checkboxes to DropDown menus. Chris has developed plenty of them and more are to come.

SPARK

SPARK (SVG Programmers' Application Resource Kit) hosted by schemasoft. Chris is working with SPARK to find a SVG/JavaScript implementation to separate application with visualization. This will allow for reuse of the above widgets by application and you can visualize them how you want.
